REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
FOR
“Supervision for Construction of Al Minya Landfill and Related Infrastructure”
This request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared on the Dgmarket on 24 Feb. 2009 and on the UN Development Business online on 16 Feb. 2009.
Palestine Liberation Organization, for the benefit of the Palestinian Authority, has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Southern West Bank Solid Waste Management Project (SWBSWMP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services for the “Supervision for Construction of Al Minya Landfill and
Related Infrastructure “.
The Joint Service Council for Solid Waste Management of Hebron and Bethlehem Governorates (JSC-H&B) on behalf of the Palestinian Authority is responsible for overall project implementation,.
The Services include Supervision of all aspects of the sanitary landfill and ancillary infrastructures and will comprise
/ but not limited to the following components:
Construction of the Landfill,
Access road and perimeter road,
Administration – and service buildings,
Security fencing,
Storage Areas – both construction and fill storage.
Weighbridge and reception area,
Leachate collection and recirculation system
Construction of Gas station,
Vehicle wheel washing and maintenance facility
Power , Telecommunications and water supply
Environmental Management plan.
The assignment is expected to span during August 2010 to February 2012
The JSC-H&B now invites eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consulting firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their capabilities.
The consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection
and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers dated ( May 2004, revised October 2006) , based on provisions of Section II , Quality- and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS).
Interested consulting firm may obtain the Term of Reference(TOR) and any further information at the address below
from 08:30 to 13:00 hours, Saturday through Thursday.
Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below in writing (hard copy) by February 17th, 2010 at 10:00am.
