Job Vacancy

ARD Inc. is looking for an experienced professional to be based in our Jerusalem Office for the following position at the Civic Engagement Program (CEP) funded by USAID.

1- Deputy Chief of Party- Programs
Duration: 20 months
Location: Jerusalem with travel to the West Bank

This position requires at least 15 to 20 years of professional experience in a senior management position in civil society sector, preferably with USAID programs. The individual must have strong
managerial skills with direct responsibility for four distinct program components: WBG democracy and governance programming; Gaza early recovery and humanitarian assistance grants; reporting, monitoring and evaluation deliverables. Candidates must possess demonstrated ability to engage and involve civil society, local/regional/national government entities, the donor agencies,
and other USAID implementing partners throughout the programming process. The individual must direct his/her team to identify and develop critical, time sensitive projects which respond to devolving political realities on the ground and build CSO capacity at the community and national
levels. This position will require travel throughout the West Bank.

Other requirements include:
- MA in the field of social science, development studies or other related field
- Strong program and personnel management skills
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English (written, aural and verbal)
- Participatory facilitation skills desirable
- Monitoring, evaluation, reporting and analysis skills required
- Proficiency in computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team, at a fast pace and under pressure
- Ability and willingness to travel
