Job Vacancy

The Institute for Community Partnership is seeking a candidate for the position of a Project Media Assistant. The Assistant will be based at Mar Andrea office near Saint Antonian Society in Bethlehem
but will need to do some work at the Digital Media Center at Bethlehem University as well. The Assistant directly reports to the Project Manager.

Duration: 6 months.

Tasks:
- Actively take part in Film Scriptwriting
- Actively take part in planning for and implementing project activities and actively participate in project field work (i.e. meetings with schools and youth centers).
- Assist in developing training materials for the courses to be delivered during project’s lifetime.
- Assist in delivering training sessions to the participants of the media summer camps.
- Assist in delivering media education training courses to the school teachers.
- Assist participants in media education training courses in using the resources available at the Digital Media Center of Bethlehem University and using the Learning Management System –
- Moodle to participate in discussion forums.
Assist in updating and uploading media resources to the project’s website www.mec.bethlehem.edu .
- Produce certain multi-media materials depending on project requirements.
- Collect and archive materials produced during project’s lifetime for future use either in teaching or as part of the Digital Archive.
- Back up all software and all locally produced materials.
- Schedule use of facilities at the Digital Media Center by project participants who request to use its resources for project related activities and during training courses.
- Know the equipment and software used at the Digital Media Center: its use and its limitations.
- Maintain security and well-being of the equipment during project’s use.

Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent proven experience in Media and IT or related subjects.
- Experience in film scriptwriting
- Experience in assisting media projects.
- Experience in using multi-media and graphics applications to produce educational materials.
- Experience in using computer applications to produce and edit educational videos, such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop and Sound editing software.
