The Palestinian Paralympic Committee-PPC, established in the year 1993, offers young
people with disability from all areas of Palestine the opportunity to develop their live skills and sport abilities that they find meaningful for their lives. PPC was awarded a sub-grant from the European Commission through Mercy Corps to implement a 2 year program –
Sports for Change: Empowering Youth with Disability for an Inclusive Civil Society.
PPC
is looking for qualified candidates for one full time Program Coordinator based at PPC
Ramallah office.

Duties / Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the project activities at both Gaza and West Bank Offices, and with Mercy Corps Liaise with sport clubs and stakeholders involved in the program.
- Insure monitoring and evaluation of and consolidated programmatic reporting on PPC activities
- Manage contracts and procurement process required for the program implementation.
- Manage contacts with stockholders on the regional and international levels.
- Support youth with disability and stakeholder groups in planning sport and advocacy activities on the local, national and international level
- Coordinate the organizational development process of the PPC, sport clubs and stakeholder groups
- Provide administrative support for the program, including maintenance of the records, files, and financial documentation.
- Represent PPC in any of the disabled networks, attending network meetings, sharing ideas and issues, and supporting collaborative projects with organizations with similar interests
- Represent PPC and program in relevant government and local authorities agencies and institutions
- Assist PPC in developing work plan to prepare national teams to participate in London Paralympic Games 2012.

Desired skills and experience:
- Proven track record working with youth, preferable with Youth With Disability.
- Proven track record in project management, planning, Monitoring and Reporting.
- First Degree in Social Science, Business Administration, physical education or related field.
- Pervious experience in team work.
- Demonstrated ability to reach out to youth, parents, professionals, and community leaders.
- Interpersonal skills, including an ability to get along with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities and a talent for making people feel welcome and included;
- A passion for learning and helping others to learn;
- Excellent organizational skills.
